Not thrilled with negative message. 6 year olds going to 1st grade shouldn't be reading about a girl with this much attitude. Quotes from the first few pages include "I actually do not care for that girl" and "I rolled my eyes at the ceiling" and "I looked at her real annoyed". These are not messages I want my daughter to get. I know I can't protect her forever but 6 is just too young for this. Sorry - not a fan.

Junie B. books are terrible for little girls! She is a rude brat!!! We gave away our whole set of these because of this little girls attitude!

I wish I would have read the reviews first. It was such a popular book series that I figured it would be good. The main character is a brat and I do not want my daughter to think that type of behavior is acceptable. An older child might be able to read and understand that it’s just a character, but the ages that this book is written for would not be able to make that distinction.

I absolutely LOVE this author's Junie books! They are wonderfully fun for group reading in my kindergarten classroom, and later in my first grade classroom. The kids groan when the chapter is over and they have to wait until the next day to hear the next chapter. These books generate a lot of "teachable moments" and opportunities to talk about "What would you have done if you were that character?" or "What do you think about how that character is behaving or what they are doing."Junie B. is so funny. The author has a good sense of humor and I've never had a kid tell me they didn't enjoy a "Junie" book. I recommend this book and all the others in the series.

Son was in a play about Junie B Jones, had NO clue about Junie...again we have a son. So the play was based off of several of the books, couldn't get a good answer from the theater teacher, but 54 kids, trying to corral, I will give him a break. son played Herb. kind of scanned the books, picked this one as the "Opening Night" gift, DO NOT ever make the mistake of flowers for a preteen boy, the world ENDS! So we gave it to him so his cast members could all sign it, memories for later in life!

Our granddaughter is 6 and loves this book. She is asking questions, then reading to find the answer, shari her own experiences relate to what ‘s happening in the story.

I read Junie B. Jones books when I was a kid and having my daughter read them and love them is just awesome! These books are so adorable and sweet. So sad to have found out the writer Barbara Park passed away but these will live on forever.P.S.- this book came in great condition. brand new if I'm not mistaken.

My first graders love the Junie B. series. They find it funny, relatable, and always ask me to keep reading when I stop. This book is no exception. It covers the fears and issues that most first graders face when first coming to a new class. It helps problem solve and makes the students feel more comfortable about their worries. The book arrived carefully packaged.
